Mahogany Inc. and Their Philanthropic Efforts with the Commodore John Rogers School

Our amazing employees

Philanthropy involves more than giving money in donations. Mahogany, Inc. is a locally-owned business that cares about making connections and helping to improve the Greater Baltimore area. Mahogany Inc. partnered with Caesars Entertainment Corporation in August of 2019 to adopt the Commodore John Rodgers School in East Baltimore, where they beautified the garden area for local students. Mahogany, Inc. Gives the Commodore John Rodgers School a Facelift

Employees from Mahogany, Inc. spent one of their final weekends of the summer giving back and giving the school a makeover. Instead of solely sending a check in the mail, Mahogany puts forth the effort to make learning in Baltimore a bit brighter and providing the school with aesthetics that match the spirit of the school. Repainting and repairing a seating area, constructing a train to be utilized as planter boxes for fresh flowers and vegetables, and local clean-up were all a part of Mahogany’s scope. Mahogany plans to continue beautifying Garden installations at City Schools every summer. In August of 2018, Mahogany made a tremendous amount of improvements at James McHenry in Southwest Baltimore.

More on the Commodore John Rogers School

Education is power. Children are the future. We love giving a highlight on the organizations that we connect with, especially when it comes to education. Earlier this year, in April, the CJRS attempted to combat severe absenteeism in an effort called the “Walking School Bus.” For fifteen minutes, volunteers walked through East Baltimore, tapped on doors of absent students, and brought them back to the CJRS. When returning to the school, Principal Marc Martin warmly greeted students with handshakes and high fives. To make communities better, it takes thinking outside of the box, courage, and compassion. Just like the Commodore John Rodgers school, we embody those qualities as well.
