This year we are bringing back our annual Back to School Drive to the Baltimore community!
Back to school season is fast approaching, and now more than ever, it is important to give back to your local community. The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted schooling for countless families. Children being pulled out of school and having to endure the transition to virtual learning has definitely lowered some spirits. But, we here at Mahagoany, Inc are dedicated to giving back to the community that supports us. This year we are bringing back our annual Back to School Drive to the Baltimore community. We’re a locally-owned business that believes that children are the future, and education is a stepping stone towards success. Here is everything you need to know about the upcoming back to school drive on August 20th.
Our Tradition
Since 2018, Mahogany has hosted a day of games, and giveaways serving hundreds of meals and backpacks to local Baltimore city students at our annual back-to-school picnic with food, games, and a moon bounce. Our goal is to ensure every child that comes to us has everything they need to succeed in school. During our last back to school drive, we were able to provide over 100 students with backpacks filled with school supplies, like notebooks, pencils, crayons, and folders. We are incredibly grateful for all the generous volunteers who donated their time. We could not have done it without you, and we hope to see you again this year!
Back in Action
The pandemic in 2020, unfortunately, put our plans on hold. But, we have seen how resilient the community of Baltimore is and we are excited to be able to host our 4th annual back-to-school drive. This time of year again has quickly approached us. We sincerely thank all of you for your past support, and we hope that you will support and join us this year for our 4th Annual Back To School Picnic.
Due to COVID-19 last year, we did not host an in-person picnic as we have in years past, but we are thrilled to host our in-person, socially distant, mask-wearing picnic. Please join us for a day of games, raffle giveaways, team building, and serving food to our local community. We are also excited to have a vaccination van administering vaccines to individuals.
